Surveys: Label as Sample / Delete a Submission

There may be instances when the “Survey link” was mistakenly used for training purposes or the “Sample link” used when screening youth. These situations can be easily corrected. You can label a submitted survey as “Sample” or delete a submitted survey by “request consent revocation”.  Please note that this was previously known as “Mark as Test”.

  • Labelling a submitted survey as a Sample keeps the survey in your database but removes the data from analytics. You may use this for testing or training purposes.
  • Deleting a submitted survey, by requesting consent revocation, fully removes the survey and all related information from your database. This process takes 24 hours to perform.

To label a submitted survey as “Sample”

  • Locate Reports on the left navigation bar
  • Locate the survey you would like to label as Sample
  • Once you locate the proper survey, click “View” to open the survey report
  • In the survey report, click “Label as Sample” at the top of the report.
  • Once you click “Label as sample” a purple message bar will populate at the top of the screen confirming that the survey as been labelled as a sample.  This will keep the data collected, but not in your cumulative analytics.
  • Navigate back to the reports page to click “Show only sample reports” to see all surveys that have been labelled as Sample
  • Similarly, if a report is “Labelled as Sample” but should NOT be a Sample, like in the case of a survey being completed using the Sample link, click “view” on the individual survey and then click “Remove Sample Label” at the top. This will undo the sample labelling and place the data in your cumulative analytics.

To review your account for surveys labelled as sample, click the “show only sample reports” button on the Reports page:

To Delete a submission through consent revocation request

  • Locate Reports on the left navigation bar
  • Locate the survey you would like to delete
    • you can search or sort your data to assist in locating the survey submission
  • Once you locate the proper survey, click ‘View’ to open the survey report
  • In the survey report, click “Request consent revocation” at the top of the report.
  • Once you click “Request consent revocation” you will see a pop-up window asking for more information regarding your request.
  • Fill out all required fields denoted with an asterisk and click submit.
  • After clicking Submit, a purple message bar will populate at the top of the screen confirming that our delete request has been submitted successfully
  • This action takes 24 hours to perform. Check back to ensure the submission was deleted the next day–you should no longer see it in the system.
